The New Standard for
Competitive Astrophysics.

The AO Guide Astrophysics Challenge (AOAC) is not just a test; it is an elite playground. We bridge the chasm between Olympiad theory and real research by requiring students to think, derive, and code.

Competition Roadmap

Round 01

The Open Round (MCQ)

A high-speed, 60-minute online exam testing physical intuition, rapid approximation, and core astrophysics knowledge. Open to all students worldwide.

📅 TBD
Round 02

The Invitational (Subjective)

The top performers from Round 1 are invited to a 72-hour sprint. Challenges require numerical modeling using Python and deriving techniques to solve complex celestial mechanics.

📅 TBD

1. Eligibility

Open to all high school, gap-year, and first year university students students under 20.

2. Tools

The Open round is closed-book. Invitational encourages the use of computational software.

3. Platform

Entirely online. Access problems and submit solutions through your personalized AOAC dashboard.

The "Research-Thinking"
Architecture

Traditional competitions are filters for speed. AOAC is a filter for depth. While the Open round tests rapid physical intuition via MCQ, the Invitational Round changes the game.

In the Invitational, students face problems that cannot be solved with just a Casio calculator. They are given a 3-day window to utilize Desmos, Python, and Wolfram Alpha to model gravitational wave signatures and orbital perturbations.

Computational Dominance

Students learn to solve non-linear differential equations using the same numerical methods utilized by modern astrophysicists.
